1 day Akagera Safari

The 1 day Akagera safari will take you to Rwanda, the country of a thousand hills, where you will have a wonderful game viewing experience in the Park.

Akagera National park is a great park which is regularly visited by many tourists.

 The park is just a two hours’ drive from Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda and this makes it possible to visit and return to Kigali that same day.

Akagera National Park is covered by savannah vegetation and you will enjoy driving through the designated game drive routes within the park.

During this great tour, you will be escorted by a great tour guide who has been to Akagera countless times.

Our tour guides are highly knowledgeable about Akagera and we are sure that you will have a great experience.

1 day Akagera Tour.

Before the start of the tour, you will need to inform us about your pickup point in Kigali.

If you are not in Kigali, like in other provinces in Rwanda, you will inform us about day and we shall make the desired effort to ensure that we pick you up from there.

On this day, early in the morning, our tour guide will visit your pick up location in Kigali where you will be picked and driven to the park.

We use excellent 4×4 safari cars during our trips around Rwanda.

Our cars are comfortable and they are clean all the time.

 It takes approximately 2 hours and some minutes to arrive in the park.

 You will drive past the Kanombe airport during the drive to Akagera.

Upon arrival in Akagera, you will fulfill the park entrance procedures- we shall take care of that.

And afterwards, you will start the game drive through the park.

Akagera National park is a world renowned national park which hosts the African big 5- lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards.

There are other species that you will search out for during the trip to the Akagera and these include oribis, klipspringer, Cape eland, bushbuck, impalas, topis, duikers, roan antelopes, hippopotamus, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras and other species.

Lunch will be served during the game drive and by evening hour, you would have witnessed many wildlife species.

After this detailed game viewing experience, you will be driven back to Kigali
